So Dagger Defense gave me one of the new Ta-Con 3MR Trigger kits the other day to test and evaluate as a contender for some new AR-style rifle builds we are planning. Admittedly after watching the demo videos on Ta-Con’s website, I was a bit excited to see what this new trigger had to offer out of the box. I did some shooting with the Tac-Con 3MR trigger a few years back. It was fun enough. I liked that it was paired with it's own safety so the third mode was the forced reset. The regular mode mas a pretty clean break / fast reset was fun enough itself to shoot. Similar to a 3 gun trigger from Geissele (SD-3G) or the Rise Armament 535 (two favorites)1: instead of resetting, the trigger becomes fire-on-release, IN BOTH FIRING MODES. 2: when held in the “sweet spot” the trigger neither catches on the disconnect or sear, and follows the bolt forward. 3: in the Assisted Reset setting, both of these issues become much more apparent as the trigger involuntarily resets.This is a semi automatic trigger, not to be confused with a multi burst trigger.
