Of course, it can’t output the same sound quality or volume as the Mini II. Those are two different speaker classes and the Mini II is much larger, and heavier, than the micro. The SB900 and SB600 are the new models with Atmos. They are both significantly more immersive when watching movies when compared to the outgoing SB700/500. This includes non-Atmos content. The beam 2 has no where near the sound quality of the SB700. The SB700 can also get significantly louder than the beam. Bose has said that the NC700 headphones aren’t meant to replace the QC series but hasn’t released anything new under the QC name except for their earbuds. Bose has a tendency to announce new products in the Spring for launch in the Fall, coinciding with the start of a new NFL season (since they’re big sponsors). The 900 was more dependent on source material than the Arc. 4k UHD Atmos sounded awesome…the 900 does an amazing job with clarity and detail. HD content sounded great too and Bose’ pseudo Atmos does a good job adding spaciousness to non Atmos content without coming across as distracting or unnatural.

That said, the AU$2000 price to have this speaker, the separated surround speakers and the subwoofer probably make this an extreme niche. The speaker works perfectly with both Bose's own and Google Home's multiroom audio solutions. This is not a solution to generate stereo audio - the speakers all function independently.
