As for the sides, You can put the tread right next to the wall, however I recommend 6-8 inches minimum for smooth walls and at least 12" from Cinder-block walls. I tripped on my old treadmill before the Peloton and ended up with a nasty arm gash very similar to road rash because the tread was right next to the wall.

I bought a curved manual treadmill and considered the woodway until I saw the price. The trueform trainer can be had for half the price. Can do most of the call outs in peloton classes. My treadmill only goes 10 speed and 10 incline. Sounds like peloton goes to 12.
