Reason for pulling - hard to shift out of reverse. Been that way for a while, my first time pulling / attempting a clutch rebuild. Gator is about 700hrs. There was a slight "creak/squeak to the spring" when compressing by hand, spring looks ok (some of the red paint flaked off top/bottom) - will probably replace anyway.

You should no be sucking water unless the water is in you lap. The clutch housing is sealed except for the intake and exhaust.
