Make every subsequent (platinum) clear have an escalating chance to drop exotics with a guaranteed drop every let's say fourth clear. Similar to the "Reckoning" system. Or even a system similar to "Spoils of Conquest" where at the end of the lost sector you receive a currency and unlock a vendor style chest where you spend this currency.

It's all RNG. You're not guaranteed to get an exotic, and you're not guaranteed to get a new one, although the drops are weighted towards items you don't have yet. Personally, I've gotten at least one duplicate before getting the newest exotics, every time. It’s not guarenteed plus you need beyond light.
