I have reloaded 7/8 and 9/8 loads and they work fine with same components and powders, but I favor the 1 oz, 8’s, 7-1/2 or duplex loads, 50/50 mix. Titewad and e3 are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum for "metering". Titewad is the best metering powder available, while e3 is the worst. However, e3 might have the widest (and most consistent) temperature range of all powders, while promo/Red dot may not play well at certain temperatures, and/or with certain primers.

To get a good crimp, you need a compact powder, and Tightwad works well. It makes a nice soft 1150 fps shotshell. My only gripe is that it is very prone to static electricity.

When I was running them at 1210 (measured over a chrono) I was getting a lot of unburned powder - although the chrono numbers were consistent.It's hard to get 1 1/8 oz. target loads to go faster than about 1200 fps with fast powders like Titewad, Red Dot and Clays. The pressures get too high. If you want to go faster than 1200 fps, you need to go with a slower powder, such as WSH, Titegroup, Green Dot or International, or drop your shot charge to 1 oz. and stay with the faster powder.Reloading titewad powder/cool temps.
