You should be given 75 Cadmium. Another one of the expedition tasks requires you to build a refiner room. Build the room and save the warp hypercore you receive. Go find yourself some metal to turn into Chromatic Metal and use your refiner to produce that. Put Chromatic Metal and your 75 Cadmium into the refiner and you'll produce 2x Cadmium.
Expedition rewards are multi-tools, different ships, a title, jet pack, etc. It's another fun thing to do in NMS. I got all the ships, then scrapped those ships to upgrade my heavy fighter. This mod just calls the vanilla rewards for these items. The goatfungus save editor was just updated last night. It's limited in function at the moment, but does allow access to the account save. My suggestion would be to get the goatfungus save editor. Last tab on the right is for account data. Find the tool and ship expedition rewards.
