To be fair to Owlcat, Wrath of the Righteous is an adventure path for the pen and paper game. My tabletop group played through it a couple years ago, and the numbers often didn't make sense at places in the AP. It's a problem in Pathfinder in general. After a certain level it becomes a game of rocket tag; whoever goes first wipes the other side.
