Re: Mercury 150 Black Max XR2 Both rectifiers look good. The power pack that has the melted contacts is on the starbord side of the motor. The other power pack on the port side (the switchbox power pack I think) looks fine, but I didn't take the cover off of it to examine very closly.
You have lots to choose from. Any 2.0, 2.4, or 2.5 V6 LU with the right length driveshaft will bolt up. Newer is better, of course, and if you replace a 4 inch lower with a 4.5, you'll need a different prop.The part number for this module is #41470A26, it is $418 Mercury retail. Very expensive part to tell you that your engine mounted oil tank is low.
