On those Eska-based 15hp outboards, the fuel pump is a red rubberish bladder that fits into the carburetor on the flange of the carb. It needs to be installed with the narrow slot at 10 o'clock and 4 o'clock. The thing pulled a 14' fiberglass skiff with two onboard at a good clip, (I'd guess about 18 mph or so with two big guys onboard). For $175 it ran well enough to convince me to buy it.Place shift lever in "Neutral" and run motor at fast idle. • Disconnect fuel line from bushing on motor. • When motor begins to stall, rapidly inject a rust preventive oil into the carburetor air intake for ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds until motor stops (Fig- ure 25).

The impeller fins are straight when new, but they take a "set" from being bent over in the waterpump housing over time, normal, but not good.
