I can feel the number of strikes I'll have to run to finish my bounties increasing exponentially. just load up normal strikes and hit up a quick lost sector.

The timing comes down to practice and "feeling", don't go too close to the ledge to avoid diving straight down, there's a "sweet spot" you'll have to find as your fail a few times.
