Burping the Jeep cooling system can be a real pain. A couple of things to be aware of: With air in the system, you can’t rely on the overflow level to ensure your coolant is full. Normally when the fan comes on after a few seconds/minutes of starting. There is either air in the coolant lines, or a stuck thermostat. There is a bleeder valve on the top of the thermostat. You may have to remove the air intake to get at it, then use a screw driver to turn the bleeder valve to release the air until the cooler starts spitting out.

As noted JK's with with the 3.6 run hot.. fan does not usually kick in till 226-228.. so if under load, steep hill for example, temps in the 230's can be expected.. Best advise is to make sure you have the least amount of stuff you can blocking the grill. sink the winch down in frame, remove grill inserts etc.

If, as you said, it was only the drivers side, then replacing the core didn't do a thing and the issue will likely return. There is one heater core.
