About the Program. The Residential Apprenticeship is a three year program. Apprentice will work a minimum of 4,800 hours in on-the-job training and 480 hours of classroom training at the JATC. An average apprentice works 40 hours a week with one of our contractors and attends class two nights a week. This apprenticeship has four pay periods.Application Process. There is a non-refundable $30 processing fee for each application to be paid by check or money order at the time of application. Paper applications will be available at the JATC office from 8:00 AM until 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, except those days that fall on recognized holidays.
