The governor setting can adjusted, but by changing the hole the spring is connected to. IMO, the two are completely different things. A governor works to limit RPMs. A throttle stop works to limit power. So if you back out the throttle stop and gain RPMs, it is because the engine is making more power and you are still under the governor setting.Mar 13, 2015. #4. Dec 25, 2016. #2. From a bit of reading online, Briggs 900 series and gx200 both cost $300+, predator is obviosly $100. Predator has cast shaft, while the gx200 has a forged crank. Gx200 has 9 ft/lb torque, but only 5.5 hp. Predator has 8 ft/lb, but 6.5 hp.
