This allows engine vacuum to operate the petcock. The petcock is normally left to "on" or "res" during normal operation. The stock petcock is automatic.

The Lectron carb (and SmartCarb) use a single needle that covers the standard pilot, needle and main jet circuits. The slight advantage of a single circuit carb like the Lectron is the tendency to transition smoother off of the pilot circuit.

Bottom line, this bike still loads up. I thought Lectrons were "perfectly jetted" and the user didn't have to worry about load up and spooge.

2 strokes is what Lectron do best. Yes the YZ is the perfect bike for a Lectron to work well. DRZ's don't do so well with that type of carburetor. Not needed. Most people here that have tried the Lectron on a DRZ soon find the deficiencies and opt for the Keihen FCR carburetor that the performance version of the bike came with.

They're carburetors without jets. It looks like you adjust a needle for the each circuit from the outside instead of tearing in to the carb every time to make adjustments. I've seen them on some pretty high end custom bikes. Its $800 for a DRZ kit and comes with a single cable throttle and G2 aluminum throttle tube.
