My Craftsman GT3000 917.274953 would start fine, but start to die when I released the clutch/brake or engaged the PTO switch. I eliminated the seat switch, OPR, clutch/brake and PTO switch as problems. I disabled the kill circuit to the engine and was able to successfully drive the mower and the PTO would engage.Central.
