January 29, 2023 ADI Staff Reporter. More bones have been discovered after Phoenix detectives went into action when a hiker found a human skull in the South Mountain Preserve earlier this month. Inspection of the skull showed what appeared to be trauma resulting in detectives with the Phoenix Homicide Bureau taking over the investigation.
