I have a 2007 Eiger 400 or 500. Not Sure. It will idle with the choke on, but when you hit the throttle it dies. Without the choke on, if I plug the vent line to the carb, the throttle will respond, but not idle. I have cleaned the carb and replaced the spring in the carb, but frustrated with the same result. 2002 Eiger 400 Carb Problems still. I'm still having problems with idling and it still backfires at low throttle. I have the carb apart again. There are three screws on the bottom by the float, 2 regular screwdriver and the bigger one I use a small wrench to back off. I've sprayed carb cleaner thru all three with the screws out.
