We were pleasantly surprised with the Akko 3098N. It is by far the best-feeling keyboard we’ve felt without tactile switches. It is satisfying, rapid, and makes for an effortless and accurate typing experience. Despite an all-plastic exterior, the board feels weighty, durable, and premium. My budget was around $200, or basically what a "high end" gaming keyboard would have cost. After doing research I decided on an Akko mod007, with Akko jelly blacks since they're supposed to be good stock and I didn't intend to lube or do any mods, and had pretty much 100% positive reviews.

May 1, 2022 · I suggest using O-rings with these because you really don't need the full range of travel on them. The best O-rings I have used thus far are the Captain O-Ring 40A 0.2mm Reduction Rings -- they really seem to do the trick for these switches. Everyone is different so use what you want. But Akko makes great switches for the money, that's for sure.
