No 243s or 799 have the casting defect that I've heard, it was pretty isolated to the castech only 706's on gen III 4.8/5.3's. There are 2 other sets of 706's that are not affected. The early sand cast heads come as 862s and 706's, and a die cast 706 that isn't made by castech. 16 posts.the 862's are off the early 4.8-5.3 motors after about 99 I believe.
