Jan 8, 2022 · Normally when you install the FFXIV_ACT_plugin a button should appear that says "show overlay" but that button does not appear when installing the plugin. So maybe it is problem with the FFXIV_ACT_plugin and windows 11. Or maybe I'm just doing something wrong but I have installed a couple of times before and never had an issue. So at some point I updated Windows and my ACT overlay was no longer showing up in fullscreen mode. I don't have a second monitor (or a laptop good enough to run in windowed mode) but I managed to find a quick fix. In the game > system config, just switch your resolution to a different one (ex. 1680x1200 (48hz) to 1680x1200 (60hz)).
